“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.”
Next gathering time — your time · — UTC everywhere
One email at launch. No newsletter, no selling your address, ever.
Most prayer apps are something you open by yourself, whenever you happen to have a minute. Pray Gathered is the opposite: fixed moments, shared by everyone at once, wherever they are in the world.
The same five times every day, set in universal time. When the gathering begins in Ohio it begins in Lagos and Manila in the same second — not the same hour locally, the same instant.
Every prayer is written by a person, not generated. A topic, a written prayer, and a verse to sit with. Everyone prays the same words.
Choose which of the five you want, and how long before each one we tell you — a few minutes, or an hour. No streaks, no badges, no guilt if you miss one.
Five hours apart, fixed in universal time. Every major population centre on earth gets three or four of them inside waking hours — we checked twenty-one of them.
Times shown in your local time zone. Universal times never change.
This is the prayer for the gathering currently under way. It changes five times a day, at the same instant for everyone on earth — so what you are reading is what someone in Lagos or Manila is reading at this same second.
A few physical things chosen to sit alongside the theme of the hour — a book to read next, something to write in, something to give away.
Nothing, and it will stay that way. There is no subscription and there never will be. Running costs are covered by featuring items in our store from third party retailers — see the disclosure below.
No. Most people join one or two. You choose which gatherings you want a reminder for, and how far ahead it comes.
A person, by hand, every week. The prayers are never generated. What is happening in the world shapes some of them; the rest are the ordinary things people carry, like illness, work, family and weariness. Either way, a human being writes and checks every word.
Not yet. We are working hard to bring a prayer request feature where users can share their own requests for others to pray for. Be on the lookout for our next update.
Historic, creedal Christian faith, written to be prayable by believers across traditions. Scripture is quoted from the World English Bible.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, and we take part in other affiliate programmes on the same basis: if you buy something through our store we may receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you. We list only physical items we would recommend regardless of commission, and what we pray for is never influenced by it.
Pray Gathered is free, with no subscription and no in-app purchases. You do not need an account to use it. Every prayer is written in advance by a person — nothing in the app is written or submitted by users, so there is no feed, no comments and no profiles.
You are welcome to pray these prayers anywhere, alone or with others, and to share the words of a prayer with a person or a congregation. Please do not republish the collection wholesale or sell it. Scripture is quoted from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain.
Pray Gathered is not an emergency, medical or counselling service and cannot provide urgent help — if you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away.
